WELCOME BACK to the 2020-2021 school year! I am so excited for another year at Gray's Chapel. Please check out my documents to view my "meet the counselor". You can find the school counselor:

What do school counselors do?
A school counselor is highly trained educator and a mental health professional that support student's academic, social-emotional, and career development. School counselors collaborate with stakeholders to implement responsive, preventative services that meet the needs of ALL students. We teach classroom lessons about a multitude of topics. We run small groups based on the needs of the students. We provide individual counseling, but cannot take the place of mental health therapist. If a student needs long term, intensive counseling, a school counselor can refer students to outside services. School counselors meetings with students are confidential, but they share information on a "need to know" basis with parents, administration, and staff. If a student is hurting themselves or others, the school counselor will notify who is appropriate to maintain the student's safety.
