Hello! Welcome to First Grade! I am excited to work together with your child and you this school year. I have been teaching at Grays Chapel for 14 years. I started teaching in 3rd grade for several years and then moved to 1st grade.  Previously I taught in Newport, Rhode Island. In between I took several years to raise my children.

My husband, Winfield, and I live and work on Rising Meadow Farm. We have raised our four children here since 1993. Our oldest son, Parker, is married to Amy and lives in Charlotte. Our oldest daughter, Ellison is married and lives in Hillsborough. She and her husband, Kasey, recently had their first child, Amelia. Our daughter Adelaide lives and works in the area. Our youngest daughter, Octavia, is a senior at UNC-Wilmington. 

I believe in the importance of working together with you in order for your child to have a successful school year. I also believe all children can learn with support and communication between school and home.

I am looking forward to this school year and know it will be a great time to be a Fabulous First Grader!
