We are raising money to buy a Blue Hawk book vending machine for students to receive a free book to celebrate their birthdays, special achievements, perfect attendance, etc. Literacy is an amazing gift! CONGRATULATIONS!! And the winners of our Book Character Pumpkin contest are... K-2 1st Place - "Buffalo Fluffalo" by Second Grader, AW. 2nd Place - "Up" by Second Grader, MB. 3-5 1st Place - "WALL-E" by Fourth Grader, EN. 2nd Place - "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Third Grader, RR. We had a secret entry that was done by one of our very talented teachers, Mrs. Diaz! She made "Ratatouille." The first place winners will get to shop at the book fair tomorrow with their gift certificate and the 2nd place winners received a cool pack of books each! Grays Chapel knocked it out of the park with the creativity of ALL of the fabulous entries! It was hard to vote in this competition! Thank you for participating!!

Our Literacy Night and Annual Title 1 Meeting were a tremendous success. Thank you to our families and students for coming out and dressing up. Reading isn't scary; it's fun!
