October Early Release Information - Excludes RECHS

Our Communities in Schools Pen Pal Program kicked off this morning! Our 2nd graders have been paired with friends at the Archdale Senior Center! They will be writing back and forth with them and creating fun crafts to share!







United States Congressman Mark Harris visited John Lawrence Elementary School today to spend time with second and third-grade students. Congressman Harris read The Little Book of Government by Laurie B. Friedman and Zack Bush to the third graders, sparking a thoughtful discussion about government and his responsibilities as a U.S. Congressman. He also shared Those Shoes by Maribeth Boelts with the second graders, who listened attentively.


Our 2nd and 3rd graders had a special guest reader today, Congressman Mark Harris!
